BT Technologies CNC  Dovetail and Saddle Plates

BT Technologies is proud to announce our new line of dovetail and saddle plates for the discriminating astronomer.

Our saddles start out as billets of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and are fully CNC machined into a gorgeous and solid part. These plates are among the strongest and most rigid saddles that will fit precisely and perfectly on the following mounts listed below. Here are just a few examples of our saddle plates:

Our BT Tech saddle plates are available in a beautiful clear and in black high lustrous anodized finish.

Our dovetail plates are precision CNC machined from solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and Type II anodized for a brilliant long lasting finish. Each dovetail plate is specifically designed to match a series of Takahashi telescopes/clam shell or rings for rigid and flexure free mounting. Through careful and extensive pocketing, we made our dovetail plates very light weight, but extremely rigid. We paid special attention to the aesthetics of the our dovetail plates. The four corners of the dovetail plate are radiused for easy insertion into the saddle plate in the dark.

Unlike the typical flat and boxy looking plates, our plate have tastefully rounded and radiused outline with a great deal of detail unmatched by other dovetail plates - a perfect match to Takahashi quality.

Compatible with BT Technologies, Celestron CGE/CI 700, Losmandy G11, ASTRO-PHYSICS & Casady Saddle Plates.

Tak-03dp

The Tak-03dp will allow use of the Takahashi mounting rings and will provide an extremely rigid mounting surface that will easily attach to your saddle plate. It is available in a clear or black anodized finish or in matching Takahashi green.

Tak-03dp will accommodate the following Takahashi products: Mewlon 250S, Mewlon 300, BRC-250 and FRC-300.

Tak-02dp

BT Technologies is proud to offer our newest product to the astronomy community. The Tak-02dp is a dovetail that offers a beautifully crafted dovetail plate for use with the highest quality Takahashi refractors and astrographs.

Our dovetail starts off as a 6061-T6 bar and is 100 percent CNC machined for a perfect consistent finish that is beyond equal. Not only is our newest plate engineered for its good looks, it is designed to be one of the strongest most rigid plates available and at the same time light in weight.

Designed specifically for use with both Takahashi clamp shell and rings for :TOA-130, TOA-150, Epsilon 160 and Epsilon 180.

Also can be use with FC-60, FS-60, FC-76, FS-78, Sky-90, FC, FCT 100, FS-102, TSA-102, FSQ-106, FS-128, FS-152 and TOA-130 clam shell.

The three center machined depressions on the centerline of the plate to enable single or dual use of clam shells for the ultimate secure non flexing mounting arrangement.

This plate is specifically designed for Takahashi owners that use a Losmandy G-11, Astro-Physics or Casady saddle plate. Our newest dovetail is designed to work with the Takahashi rings or Takahashi clamshell tube holders.

We have provided 3 machined depressions on the centerline of the plate to enable single or dual use of clamshells for the ultimate in providing a secure non flexing mounting arrangement. In addition, the Tak-01dp was engineered to work specifically with the following Takahashi telescopes using the Takahashi Rings:

Takahashi Epsilon 160 Astrograph

Takahashi Epsilon 180 Astrograph

Our newest dovetail plate is now in stock and available in either a gorgeous black or clear anodized finish. We will also be offering our plate in a matching Takahashi finish which will be available shortly.

Tak-01dp

Designed for Takahashi clam shell rings for: FC-60, FS-60, FC-76, FS-78, Sky-90, FC, FCT 100, FS-102, TSA-102, FSQ-106, FS-128, FS-152 and TOA-130.

Tak-01dp is 12" in length to provides a great deal of adjustability. Two machined depressions on the centerline are provided for positioning of the clam shell or to mount two clam shells. Four 1/4-20 mounting holes are provided on the centerline for mounting on photo tripods or other mounting surfaces.
